Want to learn how payouts work? Or how you can pay out affiliates, see everything you need to know in this article.
1. How do payouts work?
Payouts are the way for you and your affiliates to keep track of commission payments. Payouts are created based on the following rules:
Creation date
Pending payouts are created on the 1st day of each month.
Commissions included
Pending payouts include commissions from the previous month (from first to last date of each month).
Payout Threshold
Pending payouts that didn‘t pass your predefined threshold are not mandatory to pay yet. Once the payout passes the threshold, it will be ready to pay by the end of next month.
Commissions accumulate month over month into pending payouts until they pass the threshold.
Due date
Each payout has a payment deadline up until the last day of the month. If this limit is passed, the affected affiliate(s) will get notified and the payout will be moved into Overdue payouts.
5. Payouts marked as paid
Once a pending or overdue payout is marked as paid, the affiliate will be notified, and the payout will be moved into paid payouts. The actual payout will be done between you and the affiliate directly. Once you mark a pending or overdue payout as paid, the affiliate will be notified and the payout will be moved into paid payouts.
Upcoming payouts
You can still track commission from the current month in the upcoming commissions tab. Once the 1st day of the next month will arrive, the upcoming commissions will move into current payouts.
2. How to Process a Payout to an Affiliate
With our payout feature, you’ll be able to easily manage affiliate payments. Here’s what you need to know:
- Who to Pay: Identify the affiliates due for payment.
- Amount to Pay: View the total amount owed to each affiliate.
- Reason for Payment: Understand why each payment is being made.
The payout process remains simple; you will pay the affiliates directly.
You can click on the rows within the payout table, this will open up a drawer with more information about the payout.
Paying an Affiliate / Marking Payments as Paid
When you click on a payout, a drawer will open showing all commissions included in the payout. This allows you to review each commission before processing the payment.
You can reject commissions by rejecting a referral (this will reject all commissions for this referral).
Once everything is good.
- You pay out the affiliate via Paypal (or any other agreed method)
- You mark the payout as paid
Adding payout notes to an affiliate
You can already see it at the above screenshot, by adding notes on the affiliate level you can pay them out in other ways. Within Reditus you simply mark things as paid when you did the payment.
